Our daycare centre has been providing outstanding care and early childhood education since 2008. From infancy until they are ready to go to school, your child will thrive in our intentionally planned indoor and outdoor environments that are specially designed around their age and stage of development. We provide a cooked midday meal and healthy morning and afternoon snacks to ensure your child’s daily nutritional needs are being met.

Our dedicated team are committed to building a warm, nurturing and loving relationship with your child and giving your son or daughter the confidence to explore, learn and discover within our fun-filled environment.

A little about our team

At our childcare centre, we recognise the importance of children and families feeling a sense of belonging. Our multicultural team understand this, which is why we’ll ensure you, your child and whānau feel a part of our centre community from the moment you enter our safe, loving ‘home-away-from-home’.

Family matters to us. It is our privilege to care for your child, so we’ll always go the extra mile to support you, throughout their time with us.

You’re invited…

At Kindercare Woolston we value each and every child as a unique individual and want to work closely with you to make sure we are meeting their needs and helping them to reach their full potential. It is important to us that you feel that your values and culture are understood and respected and that we are providing an environment where your child feels both safe and loved.

I would love to discuss your needs with you at your convenience, so please drop in or give the centre a call at any time.

The team and I look forward to meeting you and showing you all of the great things, we have on offer here at Kindercare Woolston.

Our care and learning

At our early childhood centre, our highly qualified, experienced team understand just how important emotional and physical care is for tamariki to learn and grow. That’s why we nurture your little one with responsive care and creative learning experiences on a daily basis - with heaps of fun along the way.

Kiwi Room (babies Room)

We believe building a strong, trusting relationship with your baby lays the foundation for exceptional care and learning in this room. For this reason, your precious little one will be cherished by a consistent team, which provides them with that all-important sense of security that enables your pēpi to grow in confidence, as they explore their sensory-rich environment. And with heaps of cuddles and laughter along the way, your little one will thrive in our safe, loving babies room.

Tūī Room (toddlers room)

We understand your toddler loves to be busy and independent. For this reason, we’ve designed a room that supports your little one’s needs, fostering their self-help, self-confidence and sense of autonomy.

Our Kaiako recognise them as capable and confident learners – giving them the guidance, compassion and understanding that is so important for them to learn and grow.

We also foster their social skills by encouraging play with others and responding to their own interests and individual choices. Toilet training is something that we’ll chat to you about, and support your child at their pace.

Pūkeko Room (preschool room)

When it comes to your precious preschooler, we recognise the importance of developing their social and emotional competence and skills. That’s why in this room, your child will participate in our ‘You Can Do It’ program. This fun-filled, interactive program focuses on building your child’s ability to get along with others; persist; be organised; feel confident; and be resilient. They’ll learn these through interest-based play that includes puppets and other engaging resources.

Takahē Room (preschool and transition to school room)

We believe in giving your child the very best start at primary school, so in this room, we focus on providing safe, nurturing care and education that encourages your child’s growth and continuity of learning.

And it all begins with a fun-filled curriculum of play-based experiences that nurtures your little one’s language, foundation skills and social/emotional development, as they continue to learn through our “You Can Do It” program.

Our Teachers intentionally foster an environment that supports their growing independence, creativity and confidence to question the world around them. Our team will also continue to partner with you and your whānau to ensure the learning we provide is meeting your child’s individual needs.

We’re here to help your preschooler achieve a smooth transition to kura, and ongoing success in their future learning.

Our world of outdoor play

We understand that movement plays an important part in your child’s physical, social and cognitive growth. That’s why we offer safe, beautiful playgrounds that encourage your child to play, explore and build friendships through physical activity.

Our separate outdoor play areas ensure the safety of our littlest children, while giving our older children the freedom to be more active and adventurous in their play.
